    Abstract: 人類知識涵蓋的領域深且廣，不是任何個人可以完全精通掌握的。近年來爲了因應科技的快速演進，社會的急劇變化，分科越精，新字彙與日俱增。原文作者司以選擇個人專長發揮，但譯者在這方面的選擇就受到很大的限制，因此熟悉瞭解各種布相關的參考諮詢管道，就成爲一個好的翻譯者必要的條件。本文就一般日常中英翻譯的實例，介紹一些基本的參考諮詢管道。

    The range of human knowledge is vast and deep. It is beyond any individual to master it all. The original author may choose his/her particular field to deal with, but the translator does not have this privilege. Therefore, it becomes necessary for a translator to be familiar with various reference tools to accomplish his/her job competently. With actual examples this article introduces some useful basic reference tools.
