"Culture" refers to the traditions and customs inherited through learning, embodying a degree of consistency in thought and behavior shaped by the process of enculturation. Dietary habits and characteristics of a particular ethnic group constitute its food culture. The dietary culture of the Mongolian people, shaped over a long process of acculturation, has profoundly influenced various aspects of nomadic life, including politics, economics, production, and daily living. The "UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" highlights the rich culinary traditions and food cultures worldwide, uncovering their historical contexts, social customs, and values. Mongolian milk tea vividly reflects the unique regional style, historical and cultural significance, and traditional values of cultural transmission and community participation. This study posits that Mongolian milk tea has the potential to be recognized as an intangible cultural heritage item, as each culinary tradition possesses distinctive historical and cultural meanings, collectively showcasing the diversity and richness of human food cultures.
