Net zero carbon emissions and resource recycling are important for environmental protection and sustainable development. In the circular economy model, LEGO goods incorporate reusable designs that repurpose existing materials for new products while recycling waste materials. This approach breathes new life into the products and reduces pollution and the overuse of natural resources.
LEGO bricks have a long history, but their plastic composition has generated significant waste, posing environmental challenges. The study aims to explore and analyze key factors in resource transformation and recycling of discarded LEGO bricks through case studies of LEGO distributors and brick education centers. It also gains insights into the business models between these entities and consumers.
The study findings indicate that LEGO bricks, with their focus on net zero carbon emissions and the circular economy model, are products that promote resource recycling and reuse. They are also easily interchangeable with other bricks, thereby satisfying consumer demands. The economic benefits of LEGO align with the circular economy business model, forming a resource circulation industry chain.
Within the LEGO bricks education environment, children can learn how to transform waste into resources through LEGO education design and construction of a circular economy system. These educational concepts promote children's awareness of sustainable development and cultivate their green consumption habits and appreciation for objects.
