| 摘要: | 根據一般的見解，霍布斯的政治理論是一種科學的產物，完全與宗教無涉，此種觀點的代表論點之一是史欽納的「事實權力理論」。然而另一方面，若干學者卻認為宗教在霍布斯的理論中扮演核心的地位，例如馬蒂尼奇認為在霍布斯的倫理體系中預設了宗教的存在，而羅伊德則認為霍布斯的政治理論所要捍衛的是不是自我保存而是「先驗的利益」。上述二種論點皆將政治與宗教對立起來，認為一方必然為另一方的起源。本計畫將指出，霍布斯實際上並非在政治與宗教間取捨，而是嘗試將二者融合。
There are two typical viewpoints referring to Hobbes' religious theory. One regards it as irrelevant to his political theory. Among this camp Quentin Skinner's DE FACTO theory is the prominent one. The other takes religion the foundation of Hobbes' political thought. A. P. Martinich asserts God plays some essential role in Hobbes' ethical system and S. A. Lloyd contends it is 'transcendent interests' rather than self-preservationthat Hobbes argues for. These two kinds of interpretation excludes politics from religion in Hobbes' theory. In this research play a compatible standpoint will be proposed. |
