The purpose of this study was to understand the effects on self-health management from different frequency of wearing wearable devices accommodate with physical activity. The Methods was based on 97 adults whose body fat percentage (male ≥20%, female ≥25%), or any risk factor of metabolic syndrome abnormalities abnormalities were participated in this study. According to the days (≥150 days) of wearing wearable devices, it was divided into three groups: consecutive group of 49, intermittent group of 38, and non-wearing group of 10. All subjects were required to complete risk factor of metabolic syndrome, body composition and physical fitness test, before and after the study. Data were analyzed by using Paired-Samples t test. The results were shown that after 6 months of intervention, consecutive group show improvement on high density lipoprotein, systolic blood pressure, skeletal muscle mass, one minute sit-ups, sit and reach, 3-min step test. Intermittent group only show improvement on high density lipoprotein. These results concluded that it was effective way to reach self-health management purpose in use of wearable devices continuously to raise your physical exercise.
