    Abstract: Nowadays, the dynamism conditions encourages organization to focus more on knowledge as strategic resource. In the knowledge management, knowledge sharing is the most important activity which enable individuals to disseminate their knowledge to others, facilitate them to exchange their knowledge, improve organizational learning capacity, and increase their ability to achieve the goals. In order to get holistic understanding about knowledge sharing, this study tries to explain the important factors that lead to effective knowledge sharing and its consequences in the context of expatriation. In more detail, this study examined the antecedents (motivation and competences, relational, and knowledge context), moderating (environmental context and richness of transmission channels), and consequences (innovative work behavior and job satisfaction) of knowledge sharing. By conducting data from 234 Taiwanese and foreign expatriates in Taiwan, this study developed some important conclusions.
    First, expatriates competences are very important to enhance knowledge sharing activity. Second, the relational factors are extremely needed in knowledge sharing because expatriates have to interact with other during that process. Third, knowledge stickiness can inhibit knowledge sharing and most of the factors that enhance knowledge sharing will decrease the level of stickiness. Fourth, knowledge sharing has positive influence on the outcomes. Finally, environmental context and richness of transmission channels are very useful to strengthen the influence of knowledge sharing on the outcomes. Since previous studies regarding the overall contexts that influence knowledge sharing are limited, this study can provide as important reference for further academic validation. Besides, the results of this study can be useful for academicians and managerial in order to improve effectiveness of knowledge sharing and its outcomes during the expatriation.
