Chopin is an important pianist and composer in 19th century. This cello sonata in g minor was composed in 1845, and is the only cello sonata he composed.
There are five chapters in this thesis. The first chapter discusses the motive and the method. The second chapter introduces Chopin and the background of this composition. The third chapter analyzes the structure and probe the technique. The fourth chapter is performing interpretation. The fifth chapter is compare six cellists' performing interpretation. The final chapter is the conclusion.
