| 摘要: | 「藍染」是一種極為古老的染布方法，歷史悠久可追溯至四、五千年前中國商周時期，以種植山藍（馬藍）、木藍、蓼藍等「藍草」進行染布。台灣藍草種植於17世紀末，當時以藍靛染料發展外銷中國大陸，18世紀末藍染技術和染坊的設立，帶動台灣藍染產業的興盛，到了20世紀初期，歐洲人將發明的合成染料輸入中國，台灣山區的藍草（大青）逐漸被砍除及紡織工業的現代化，台灣藍染業逐漸衰微。近年來在一片重視文化資產與回歸傳統生命源頭的呼聲中，傳統工藝技術「藍染」因而獲得重生。傳統藍染文化存在於世界各處，應是全球共同一起維護的傳統技藝，此外，全球環保意識抬頭，在服裝印染上，天然染色亦視為最環保之做法，因此，本研究籍由探討藍染文化的背景及特色，擷取藍染布料之美轉化應用於服裝設計上，整體之概念構想、發展過程及創作成果，希望能作為一個突顯藍染文化設計的引子，共同結合現代設計的靈感，並將其文化價值和藝術風格融合於流行時尚與設計中。
