Lord Byron expresses his genuine feelings and romantic aspiration through Don Juan. Being honored as a poet of liberty and a man of action, Byron intends to treat the unique invention as a medium for uttering his vision of humankind. In Don Juan, he points out that the truth is found by means of man's painful experience. Byron reluctantly admits that this is an imperfect world filled with all sorts of vices, hypocrisies, and absurdities. Mankind's eternal value lies in a very noble spirit which motivates him to keep on pursuing knowledge, freedom, hope, truth, goodness, as well as beauty, and struggling with adverse circumstances, in spite of his limitations.
