Abstract:	進入二十一世紀的台灣，在各階層的社會中，幾乎都能感受到全球化的趨勢。電視成了國民日常生活中不可或缺的資訊來源，不論居住在都市或鄉村的人們，只要打開電視就能收看世界各地的資訊，不論新聞性、益智性、或娛樂性的節目一應俱全，任君選擇；此外，經由電腦網路可以和世界任何角落的人交談，或是進行商業交易，或是交換各種資訊，藉此縮短彼此的時間與空間距離。實際上，在台灣的每一個人的生活都受到了全球化的衝擊，也影響了整個就業市場對英文能力的要求越來越高，特別是與國外有業務往來的公司，更需要英文人才的積極投入，才能擴大經營範圍。本文因應此一趨勢，介紹「商用英文」在台灣全球化過程中所扮演的角色，並提供有興趣的人認識「商用英文」中所談到的求職面談，作爲求職的參考。 There is a trend of globalization prevailing at every level in Taiwan at the beginning of the Y2K. Television has become one of the information sources indispensible to people's daily lives. No matter where they live and whenever they like, they can view the world news and many other programs on television. Besides, by internet they can talk with friends in every corner of the world, deal business with others, or exchange different information with friends. And so the world is becoming smaller than before. In fact, globalization has already made an impact on Taiwanese daily lives and affected the qualification in job market where the higher level of English ability is a must. Especially for those companies that have business with other countries, people with good command of English are most welcomed in job market. This article tries to introduce Business English to those who want to find jobs or change them to other ones. To get a job, one has to prepare for paper works such as résumé, cover letter, and for questions for job interview. From this article one can get a bird's eye view about how to prepare for a job interview.
