Abstract:	本文探討作者在中國文化大學所任教『英語實習』〔一〕有關新聞英語之學習情形。該班級主要爲新聞系學生，作者自『臺北社區電台』〔ICRT〕短波錄下數段『英國國家廣播公司』〔BBC〕之廣播，本人發現BBC節目中有不少適合新聞系學生之題材。拘於時間的關係，本文僅討論課堂上使用過三份錄音帶中的兩份。本文包括三個部份：一、聽力理解的一般背景介紹；二、課堂上使用過的錄音帶及教學方法之討論；三、聽力教材之評估與結論。 The students in the English Language Laboratory Classes at Chinese Culture University are continuously asking this teacher about how they can improve their listening ability. Many of them complain that they try listening to I.C.R.T. FM, the English language radio station. Others complain that they can't understand British people when Englishmen/women speak. What I have done over the past year is use the British Broadcasting Corporation's broadcasts on I.C.R.T. AM to help students overcome their problems. This paper reports on several of my observations.
