In this work, a gasochromic sensing adhesive tape with highly sensitive and quantitative properties for the application of in-situ detecting micro-leakage of NH3 gas were fabricated based on colorimetric method using dyes (pH indicator). An absorption/concentration system that was added water-absorbing material ([3 (methacrylamino) propyl] trimethyl ammonium chloride; Poly-MAPTAC) was used to improve the sensitivity of the gasochromic sensing adhesive tape for in-situ sensing micro-leakage of gases. Additionally, the total color difference (C) was calculated based on the raw data of the red, green, and blue of image using a color reader for quantitation application.
