The topic of this study is to explore the performance of Digital Forensic Readiness (DFR). With the development of information technology, information security incidents are increasing day by day. Scholars have proposed a digital forensics readiness framework to assist organizations in planning and designing to improve the collection and utilization of digital evidence, reduce the cost of subsequent evidence collection, and thereby help improve information security protection. Digital forensics readiness framework Although the concept has been developed for twenty years, it still needs to be popularized and popularized. Therefore, this study focuses on a case study of digital forensics readiness to explore its application and cost efficiency in information security incidents. This study uses experimental methods to verify the effectiveness of the DFR framework by analyzing actual cost cases, and further proposes a localized digital forensic verification framework to provide standard operating procedures for enterprises, agencies and governments.
Research results show that the introduction of the DFR system can not only reduce the cost of digital crime investigation, but also improve the legal effectiveness and detection efficiency of digital crimes. It can improve the legal evidentiary power of digital evidence and reduce the cost of digital crime investigation. Finally, this study proposes to establish a localization framework to provide enterprises and government agencies with standard operating procedures to prepare them for forensics in advance and build a digital system suitable for Taiwan. Forensic structure to effectively respond to incidents.
