In modern information society, the use of personal data is very common and closely related to people's lives. However, incidents of personal data leaks and misuse are frequent, which endangers personal privacy and even affects public interests. Therefore, personal data protection is becoming increasingly important. However, there are many shortcomings in Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, such as the lack of an independent supervisory mechanism for personal data protection, the right of the data subject to withdraw consent, and many other issues. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research and discussion on these legal issues.
This paper studies the development of personal data protection, analyzes important articles of the Personal Data Protection Act, explores technological epidemic prevention measures implemented during the epidemic, and examines remedies when the rights of the data subject are infringed. It also compiles academic books, academic journal articles, judicial practice judgments, and foreign legislative examples to address theshortcomings of the Personal Data Protection Act.
