    摘要: This research focuses on the impacts of DeFi (Decentralized Finance) on the banking system in Turkiye and relatedly how the future will be marshalled. This academic paper’s purpose is to have a better understanding of how DeFi works for people’s needs. Additionally, the research aims to undertake the consumers’ behaviours to the new system, and the benefits and risks of the system. The study revealed how cryptocurrencies affect how money is used and connections worldwide. From this point of view, humanity tried and attempted to invent and develop new tools and systems. DeFi is qualified to be a milestone in the banking system because it affects the way of thinking about money. This paper benefitted from five different interviews to explore more about DeFi, to understand how DeFi practices, and to find beneficial and considerable suggestions for future users. Qualitative method was employed to synthesise findings supporting by exploratory research way. Needed information and necessary knowledge were also collected from many articles and news with interpretation and adjustment to this work. 4 open-ended questions were asked to 5 Turkish interviewers. So that, the answers were in Turkish, and they were translated into English to adjust this paper. In the end, it was observed that people are still hesitant to have such DeFi system in the modern world. They have doubts about the security and efficiency. There is a low possibility of replacing this modern system with the traditional banking system in the short term. Meanwhile, many improvements happen day by day. In conclusion, this research determined that in the short term, the DeFi system does not possess sufficient impact or persuasiveness to replace the current banking system. However, it has been concluded that in the medium to long term, due to its significant potential, the DeFi system is likely to be adopted as the new banking system.
