Purpose: This study explores the performance of female archery athletes in achieving premium quality sports experiences through my 28 years of practical archery experience. It analyzes the success factors of female archery athletes from the aspects of achievements, training methods, challenges, and overcoming strategies. Methods: This research adopts a self-narrative approach, presenting data collected from training plans, newspaper and magazine articles, competition photos, and videos. It delves into the symbolic processes of major competitions. Results: Increasing age contributes positively to an athletic career, enhancing practical experience, and enabling athletes to calmly face unexpected situations during competitions with a steady mindset. Long-term exposure to a high-intensity competitive environment fosters familiarity with the competition rhythm and atmosphere, cultivating a high level of resilience. Conclusions: (1) Physical stature is not a disadvantage; perseverance and diligent practice can create an extraordinary life. (2) Training techniques for two different bow types may vary, but the attitude required to win international medals is the same. (3) As a coach, my role and mindset towards training athletes are driven by a sense of giving back to society without concern for personal returns, focusing solely on societal contribution. (4) The training process, competition environment, and psychological adjustment are interrelated and collectively determine the final performance of athletes. Only with balanced development in these three aspects can athletes achieve their best performance in competitions.
