In this study, the author analyzes these five pieces through exploring the different characteristics, tempi changes and provides interpretation suggestions.

The second chapter is about the background of the work and the composer's life and musical style. The third chapter is the detailed analysis of the work. The fourth chapter discusses the performance interpretation of this work. The fifth chapter is the conclusion of this thesis, integrating the author's research results and discussions on Schumann's Five Pieces in Folk Style for Cello and Piano.
