隨著台灣的經濟起飛，台灣一些觀光地區的觀光發展快速成長，尤其是位於大台北郊區的淡水（新北市淡水區），更是憑藉著既有的歷史文化景觀、河岸自然景觀，及高運量捷運系統，將大量的觀光客帶進了淡水河岸從事旅遊動。來到淡水河岸從事旅遊的遊客，看到河岸邊專門幫遊客畫人像、畫風景的街頭藝術家在作畫時，大多會停下腳步駐足觀賞這些藝術家們的繪畫創作過程，產生濃厚興趣欣賞、觀摩。有些遊客甚至會想要嘗試提筆參與、體驗繪畫創作。但是，綜觀台灣各觀光地區，大都只限於藝術家畫給觀光客觀賞，鮮少有給觀光客自己繪畫的教學及場所，也因此對一般成年遊客而言，他們可能自義務教育體系後，就少有機會親手進行繪畫創作，箇中原因除了極少有人提供繪畫學習場所外，缺少專業繪畫教學人員指導，也是其中的問題。如果可以在觀光地區提供一處備齊繪畫工具的場地，再給愛好繪畫的遊客專業的繪畫指導，如此除了可以提升觀光地區的多元旅遊質量，也可以提供遊客，乃至社會大眾對藝術創作學習的意願，讓遊客在旅遊的同時，提升藝術欣賞及繪畫創作的興趣，在推廣觀光的同時，讓成人藝術教育、終身教育的推廣獲得支持。
本文旨在探討觀光地區遊客，對繪畫教學的興趣及教學後成果的探討，並以目前遊客量頗高的新北市淡水區河岸觀光區為例，探討觀光地區遊客在專業人員指導繪畫的過程中，如何對繪畫產生更多的興趣，筆者透過親自投入教學，觀察過程做出研究。

Some visitors even want to try their hand at drawing. But looking at various tourist destinations in Taiwan, most of them are limited to artists' paintings for tourists to enjoy. There are few teaching places for tourists to paint by themselves.
For the general public,when after leaving compulsory education. There are few opportunities for hands-on creation. The reason is that very few people provide painting learning places. And the lack of professional painting teaching staff is also a problem. If it is possible to provide a venue with drawing tools in a tourist area. And give professional painting guidance to tourists who are interested in painting. In this way, in addition to enhancing the diversified development of tourist areas. Also improve the public's willingness to learn about art. Make art education for adults. And support promotion of lifelong education.
