本研究旨探討正值成年初顯期之女性經歷父母非預期性死亡之失落調適與復原歷程。本研究採用質性取向的敘事研究法,透過立意取樣,正式邀請到三位經歷過在成年初顯期面臨父或母突然離世之女性共同參與本研究。藉由半結構式深度訪談法收集研究資料,謄寫為故事文本,再以「整體-內容」敘事分析法進行文本的整理與分析。研究結果如下:
一、非預期性喪親的經驗中成年初顯期女性之獨特歷程,包含以下兩項:依附關係上,認為自己已經獨立自主,卻忽略了自身對於原生家庭的情緒依賴;社會支持上,相較於同儕關係,伴侶關係更是此刻重要的支持,卻又非成年中期般穩固。
二、非預期性喪親的經驗中影響成年初顯期女性之因素,包含以下五項:確認死亡的真正原因,給出解答與交代;找尋新的意義,將原先帶有被剝奪、失落等之意涵,轉化為正向意義;與逝世父母重新連結,發展出屬於個人獨有的再連結;與健在家人、伴侶建立起新的依附連結;樂觀,成為個人面對失落之方式與策略。
三、非預期性喪親的經驗中影響成年初顯期發展任務之因素,包含以下兩項:生涯規劃的改變,成年初顯期女性將注意力從自我發展上轉移到面對與調適失落悲傷;家庭成員與互動的轉變,以因應其成員離開後的動盪,使得成年初顯期女性需要花費較多的心力於家庭上。
The purpose of this study is to examine the grief adjustment and recovery process of individuals experiencing the unexpected death of a parent at the time of emerging adulthood women. This study adopts a qualitative approach to narrative research by formally inviting three individual women who have experienced the sudden death of their father or mother in emerging adulthood to participate in this study through purposive sampling. The research data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, transcribed into story texts, and then organized and analyzed using the "holistic-content" narrative analysis method. The result findings conclude that:
Ⅰ.The unique course of women in emerging adulthood experiencing the unexpected death of a parent include the following two aspects:
1.In dependency, the emotional dependence of primary family is neglected, feeling independently is substituted
2.Couple relationship is the main support, but not as stable as middle adulthood.
Ⅱ.Factors that influence in emerging adulthood women experiencing the unexpected death of a parent include the following five aspects:
1.Identify the true cause of death: find an answer and give an explanation.
2.Reconstruct the meaning of unexpected loss: transform the original sense of deprivation and loss into a positive context.
3.Reconnect with the deceased parent: Develop a unique and intimate reconnection.
4.New attachments with surviving family members and partners.
5.Optimism: Developing approaches and strategies for individuals facing loss.
Ⅲ.Factors that influence the developmental tasks of a person in emerging adulthood experiencing the unexpected death of a parent include the following two aspects:
1.Changes in life planning: Emerging adulthood women shift their focus from self-development to coping and adjusting to the loss.
2.Changes in family members and interactions: In response to the turmoil of the deceased’s passing, emerging adulthood women become the primary caregiver to maintain the family’s normal functions.
