Purpose: To explore the influence of music on pre-match state anxiety and sports performance of tennis players. Methods: This study adopts an experimental method to explore the "effects of tennis players listening to music on pre-match state anxiety and sports performance", taking music as an independent variable and pre-match state anxiety as a dependent variable, to find out whether music can reduce Pre-match state anxiety. The subjects of this study are the domestic junior college open group, the general group, and the middle school open group tennis players as the research objects. They are 9 males and 1 female, aged between 13 and 26 years old. The actual number of matches is collected for data analysis, 12 for junior college and 8 for junior high school. Using two-factor mixed design analysis, if the interaction reached a significant difference, then the simple main effect test was carried out. Results: There were significant differences in total scores with and without music before and after the test. There was no significant difference in performance between movements with and without music intervention. Listening to music with different rhythms has no difference in the total score of tennis players' pre-match state anxiety. There was a significant difference in the effect of listening to different tempo music on sports performance. Conclusion: Music can alleviate the pre-match state anxiety of tennis players. Music did not improve athletic performance, slow-tempo music did not reduce anxiety more than fast-paced music, and fast-paced music improved athletic performance.
