Abstract: This study applies the network slacks-based measure DEA to investigate the sustainability performance and corporate performance of 16 multinational enterprises (MNEs) in the transport manufacturing industry from 2015 to 2020. Additionally, we assess the influence of CSR on sustainability and corporate performance. Empirical findings show that over the period of the study, the average efficiency score of the sustainability performance is greater than the corporate performance. Noticeably, European enterprises show greater performance than the Asian enterprises in both stages. On the other hand, our regression analysis indicates that CSR has a significant impact on sustainability performance and corporate performance. In this dynamic business world, enterprises should invest and implement sustainable and CSR practices in the future to gain a competitive advantage.
