Abstract:	本計畫試圖整理日本自衛隊(1)基礎性防衛力的變化(1976-2003年):多元化安保合作、(2)機動防衛力(2004-2012年) :04 《防衛計畫大綱》由以往「抑止效果」變更為「對應能力」、(3)統合機動防衛力(2013-2020年)。其次，後冷戰起美日同盟和安保體制已從區域範疇擴展至全球甚或太空，需要有嶄新思維去釐清美日合作的更多可能，預計分析(1)90年代的《東京宣言》、(2)重視日本西南方戰略部屬、(3)軍事科技的運用與強化美日太空合作關係。最後，從比較政治觀點理解日本自民黨執政下的對外方針，跳脫國際關係或區域研究探討防衛發展的侷限。
