This study mainly discusses the influence of various production parameters such as the thickness of coating, glue coagulation time, and concentration of DMF in coagulation bath, on the film physical properties.
The most important for film moisture permeability with depends on the film thickness. A thinner film, higher film moisture permeability. When discuss on effect of changing the DMF concentration in the coagulation bath on the film physical properties, this study found that increase the DMF concentration decrease water resistance, moisture permeability and finished film thickness on the textile. The reason is lower DMF concentration will help PU resin coagulation to accelerating phase change for porous formation in the coagulation bath. A higher PU glue thickness effectively improves the water resistance and increase the resin content when coating on the textile, which also directly increase the film mechanical properties.
