    Abstract: 以美國中小學課堂進行學生中心教學改革的歷史為研究主旨的這本專書,將可讓臺灣讀者明白,一個世紀的施行確實帶動了不少可觀的變化,但緣於多種原因,總是有一些課堂教學維持不變。不過,值得慶幸的是,不論中小學,都有日漸增多的教師,在增進學生學習效果的前提下,善用科技的輔助,將課堂帶到學生中心教學的方向。細讀該書應會讓臺灣推動類似課堂教學改革的人士,在反思過去作法的前提下,以周全的準備與確切的期望,擬定更為合理可行的方案,帶動永續的進步。
