This paper is based on the Reformation of Henry VIII in England during his reign after he requested separation from his first wife. The research methods adopted are historical case analysis and literature analysis. At that time, Europe was amidst the religious reform movement, and the causes of the English Reformation were unique compared to other European countries. The reform process also changed the English political system. Chapters 3 to 6 focus specifically on the overall movement of the English Reformation: Chapter 3 is "The Origin of Reformation Ideology," Chapter 4 is "The Necessity of Divorce," Chapter 5 is "The Expansion of Kingship," and Chapter 6 is "Choice Between Catholic and Protestant." These four chapters explain the English Reformation's formation and the Church of England's finalization. Chapter 7 presents a conclusion based on the summary of previous chapters, which concludes that Henry VIII predominated kingship, and while England was still Catholic at the time, it was starting to lean towards Protestantism for the future.
