Communication components are often made of Aluminium alloy 6061-T6, where the probability of having to lock screws is high, so drilling and tapping are necessary machining procedures. Especially the tooth-tapping machining is quite troublesome, because aluminum alloy 6061-T6 is a difficult material to cut. To cut it well, the cutting speed would alloy even exceeds 1000 meters per minute. This cutting condition is not possible in tapping. Tapping machining is slow generally, the accumulation condition will inevitably produce. The focus of this study is to achieve the reduction of tapping torque and the formation time of the Build-up edge.
This study starts with 1. Dry Cut 2. Oil 3. The chassis lubricating grease is used as the cutting fluid as the lead. After literature discussion, research structure and design, and experiment, the results are as follows: sensor error comparison value, dry cutting torque value and cutting oil torque value as a precursor. Finally, the conclusion of the study is: 1. Fixed speed 200 rpm tapping M3, cutting aluminum alloy 6061-T6, measuring average maximum torque is: (1) dry cut 0.18 N-m (2) oil 0.11 N-m (3) chassis grease 0.1N-m. 2. After the experiment, it is known that the torque is too large for dry cutting, which is less suitable for tooth tapping. 3. Chassis grease is more suitable as cutting fluid for tapping because of its shorter tapping time and smaller oscillation amplitude in the back section. 4. The true roundness and roughness of drilling are also important factors for BUE generation.
