Abstract:	「古往今來」象徵著時間的連續性，及永恆性。藉由物質具體流轉的變化，使人們易於感受到時間軸刻痕的脈絡，它在悠遠的時空中，不停歇地訴說著人類文明的偉大與燦爛。自古以來東方與西方都擁有大量的藝術遺產，從「原始藝術」的繪畫表現中，不難理解從古至今繪畫藝術都離不開人類的生活習性，也就是說「藝術史」就是一部人類生活史的寫照。　　「生活」在時空中交織出人生多樣的圖像，而生命也隨之在虛實之間來回擺盪著。時空流轉至今的21世紀，由於科技的高度發展，使得人類的生活有過度依賴與追求物質的傾向，導致精神生活貧乏而失去了方向，甚至有了枯竭感，宗教淨化人們精神的成效，確實簡化了眾多物質的追求與精神面的提升，至於如何在兩者之間取得身心靈的平衡點，這已成為現代人生活中急需解決的難題。　　筆者多年以來，在宗教禪學修持的實踐與理解之下，體會到人精神進化的必要性，若將其適當地運用在追求健全的、創造性的、有活力的生活品質上，可全然地表達出現代人生活所中追求的「物質與精神」平衡之禪學美，而這也正是筆者以「禪學美」作為繪畫創作及研究題材的主要原因。「Throughout the Ages」symbolizes the continuation and everlasting nature of time. 　　From the alteration of contemplation, people can feel the changes in time, from the spaces far away, it continues to show the beauty of human civilization. 　　Since long time ago, both the West and the East created and left behind a large amount of art heritages. From the presentations of the 「Original Arts」, it is not difficult to understand that art has always been a part of our lives, in other words, art history is a reflection of human history. 　　「Everyday lives」shows the different images of civilization, as well as the reality and illusions of life. 　　In this modern 21st century, due to fast development of technology, resulting in contemplation heavily affecting our everyday lives, at the same time our spiritual lives becomes incomplete and lost, even feel empty with it. 　　Religion does prove to have positive effects on decreasing the negative effects caused by contemplation, and makes people feel more satisfied with the spiritual part of lives. 　　But how to find the balance between contemplation and spiritual fulfillment, is a problem faced by everyone in the modern world. 　　For a long time, I have experienced, practiced and achieved deep understanding of the importance of spiritual fulfillment, if it can successfully be used to achieve a healthy, creative everyday lifestyle, the balance between contemplation and spiritual fulfillment can be shown, therefore the reason for me choosing「Zen Beauty」as the main theme for art creation and research.
