The objective of this study is to do the extraction oil from bergamot using supercritical CO2. This experiment investigates the effect of essential oil yield by changing the two factors of pressure and temperature under constant flow and extraction time.
The pressure conditions of the experimental design are set to 2400psi、3100psi、3800psi , and the temperature conditions are 40℃、50℃、60℃. In order to obtain the reproducibility of extraction results, each set of experimental conditions was repeated three times for a total of 27 sets of experiments. To explore the significance of the yield of bergamot essential oil under the interaction of factors, two-factor variance and second-order regression analysis were performed on the experimental results. After using Excel and MATLAB to make regression line graph, it was analyzed to obtain the optimum operating conditions within the scope of this experiment.
At last, compare the yields of crude bergamot essential oils obtained by Soxhlet extraction and supercritical extraction method, and make use of gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer to analyze whether the essential oil components obtained by the two extraction methods are consistent.
