Females take on multiple responsibilities of family, society and work
simultaneously, the stress will be stressful. Community dance can help exercise body, release stress, express emotions, enhance social interaction, and improve quality of life, which becomes a suitable leisure option for females. The purpose of this study is to examinate the current stituation of female community dance participation, and to examinate the differences, correlations, and relationships among leisure involvement, community consciousness, and life satisfaction of female community dance participants. In this study, questionnaire method was used, and a total of 363 female community dance participants were surveyed. Questionnaire survey method is used for collecting data, which includes
" Modified Involvement Scale ", " Community consciousness Scale " and
" Life Satisfaction Scale ". The scales adopt Likert five-point scale score. The data are analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and regression analysis.
The results show that female community dance participants are mostly over 50 years old. Because participting community dance activity is nearby the neighborhood, with low cost and short frame of activity time,
which can not only achieve the effect of exercise but also take into account the family and work, female participants would be willing to engage in continuously. The results also indicate that the higher the leisure involvement, the stronger community consciousness and life satisfaction of participants. and there are positive relationships among the three.Furthermore, leisure involvement and community consciousness significantly predict participants' life satisfaction, community consciousness has partial mediating effects on the leisure involvement to life satisfaction of females.
Therefore, it is recommended that female community dance participants continue to participate in community dance activities, not only to obtain various benefits such as stress relief, but also to consolidate the sense of community co-prosperity through neighborhood care and mutual assistance, so as to enrich the connotation of life and improve the quality of life. It is suggested that relevant units should add more curriculum activities suitable for middle-aged and elderly females when planning activities, so as to maintain physical and mental health, and improve the effectiveness of community participation.
