本創作論述以「淡水」油畫創作為題,透過藝術創作表達筆者曾在淡水的生命體驗。創作研究動機是來自筆者從母親淡水家之窗景外的淡水景致,憶起高中於淡江中學生活經驗和與母親短暫相處時光的情感記憶。此創作為筆者對淡水自然環境與美好景物的深刻經驗意象呈現。藉著主觀的生命情調和客觀的自然景象,透過創作達到淡水是筆者的「心靈」故鄉的目的。
本文第一章為緒論,敘述創作研究的動機與目的、研究範圍方法和、名詞解釋和旨趣陳述;第二章為文獻探討。從淡水歷史沿革,地理環境和人文風情三個面向探究;第三章探討曾以淡水為主體之繪畫創作,分三個時期討論,首先是從17世紀到1895間,其次,日治時期期間:1895~1945年。第三時期是從日治時期之後,即1945~迄今。第四章是創作作品的創作意涵、構圖形式,技法表現進行說明;第五章為結論,回顧本創作歷程省思和對未來在創作上的方向與期望。
此研究創作使筆者對於淡水有更深入的了解,促使自己對家鄉的風貌有更深層的認識。期許個人在未來藝術創作上有更清晰且具獨特面貌的發展。
Centered upon oil painting themed on mind impression of Tamsui, the study explores the author’s stories of life in Tamsui through the lens of art. It is derived from the river view outside of the house of the author’s mother located in Tamsui, which brings up reminiscences of personal anecdotes at Tamkang High School and recollections of the ephemeral time spent with her mother. Aiming at portraying Tamsui as her spiritual hometown by means of subjective recount of life experiences and objective scenery, the research presents an indelible literary topos of Tamsui’s natural environment and picturesque scenery.
The research begins with an introduction outlining the research motivation, objectives, research methodology, glossary and a brief description of the gist, followed by literature review as the second chapter, which explores the history, geography and particular milieu of Tamsui. The third chapter focuses on painting works based on the topos “Tamsui” in the following chronological periods: 17th century—1895; 1895—1945, i.e. the period in which Taiwan was a dependency of Japan; 1945 onward, i.e. the end of Japanese rule through present. The fourth revolves around the significance, structure, techniques of the author’s artistic works. The entire research concludes with review of the past artistic creation and perspectives and expectations on future works in the fifth chapter.
The author benefits from the research by developing more in-depth understanding of Tamsui, a place that is home to her, which is expected to boost her future artistic works.
