For creating more work opportunities and balancing population development, the National Development Council aggressively promotes “regional revitalization” and it hopes by the means of optimizing local industry, solidifying working opportunity, constructing township in remote area and develop cultural and catachrestic block to achieve the goal of “balancing Taiwan”. There are many NGOs in Taiwan which have taken care of local development continually and kept advancing local service work.
It will take “Zi Nan Temple” in Jhushan, Nantou and “Lovely Taiwan Foundation” in Chishang, Taitong as cases to review the efforts of promoting “regional revitalization” by NGOs in the following study.
