    Title: 桃園市國中生人格特質、線上遊戲參與動機與同儕關係之相關研究
    A Relationship Study on Personality Traits, Motivation to Participate in Online Games and Peer Relationships among Junior High School Students in Taoyuan City

    Abstract: 本研究旨在探討桃園市國中生「線上遊戲參與動機」與「同儕關係」現況,並分析不同「個人背景變項」及「人格特質」之國中生在「線上遊戲參與動機」與「同儕關係」之差異,進而探討其「人格特質」、「線上遊戲參與動機」與「同儕關係」之相關性。
    本研究採用問卷調查法,以桃園市國中生為研究之母群體,以「立意抽樣」方式發放問卷。研究工具包括「個人背景資料問卷」、「國中生人格特質問卷」、「國中生線上遊戲參與問卷」、「國中生同儕關係問卷」四部分。取樣後以社會科學統計套裝軟體20.0 版(SPSS 20.0)進行資料處理,採用描述性統計、獨立樣本t檢定、單因子變異數分析、雪費事後比較、皮爾森積差相關進行統計分析。
    研究結果如下:
    一、桃園市國中生之「線上遊戲參與動機」趨向於「自我肯定」與
    「休閒娛樂」兩項動機。
    二、桃園市國中生之「同儕關係」趨向於注重「社交技能」、「互動
    關係」及「情感支持」。
    三、桃園市國中生之「人格特質」,趨向於「和善性」與「聰穎開放
    性」。
    四、桃園市國中生之「線上遊戲參與動機」與「同儕關係」會因為性
    別不同而有顯著差異。
    五、不同「人格特質」之國中生,其「線上遊戲參與動機」及「同儕
    關係」有顯著差異之假設,皆獲得部分支持。
    六、國中生之「人格特質」與「線上遊戲參與動機」及「同儕關係」間,有部分顯著正相關;國中生之「線上遊戲參與動機」與「同儕關係」間有部分顯著正相關。
    最後歸納研究結果,提出建議供政府相關部門、學校機關單位、父母、教師以及未來研究者,在政策規劃與學生輔導協助方面參考。
    The purpose of this study is to investigate the current situation of “motivation to participate in online games” and “peer relationship” among junior high school students in Taoyuan City, and to analyze the differences between “motivation to participate in online games” and “peer relationship” within students in junior high school of different personal background and “personality traits”, then to investigate the correlation between “personality traits” and “motivation to participate in online games” and “peer relationship’.
    This study used a questionnaire to take junior high school students of Taoyuan City as the group of research, with intention sampling method to issue the questionnaire. The research tools included personal background information, “questionnaire of motivation to participate in online games”, “questionnaire of peer relationship” and “questionnaire of personality traits”. After sampling, the data was processed by the Social Science Statistics Package Software (SPSS)20.0 for Windows and the statistical analysis was carried out using Descriptive statistics, Independent sample t-test, Single-factor analysis of variace (One-way ANOVA), Scheff's post hoc comparison, and Pearson's product-moment correlation.
    The results are as follows:
    First, the “ motivation to participate in online games “ of junior high school students in Taoyuan City tends to have more “self-affirmation” and “leisure and entertainment” motivations. Second, the “peer relationship” of junior high school students in Taoyuan City tends to focus more on “social skills”, “interactive relationships” and “emotional support”. Third, the “personality traits” of junior high school students in Taoyuan City tend to be more “harmony” and “smart and open”. Fifth, for the assumption of junior high school students in Taoyuan City with different “personality traits”, their “ motivation to participate in online games “ and “peer relationship” would show partial significant differences was supported. Sixth, partially significant positive correlation are observed between “personality traits” and “motivation to participate in online games” of junior high school students in Taoyuan City, and same results observed when compare “peer relationship” & “motivation to participate in online games”and compare “peer relationship” and “personality traits”.
    In the end, this study summarizes the research results and offer suggestions for the relevant government departments, school authorities, teachers and future researchers, hoping to provide parents with a understanding of their children's leisure activities, to help students in building a better peer relationships, and establishing positive personality.
