《老子想爾注》底本爲五千言本,乃刪改「五千言文」而來,其中有妄刪者、有訛、衍誤者,所用文字與《老子》大異其趣,爲證祖本校正訛誤,故作〈《老子想爾注》校正〉。所據《老子想爾注》本爲饒宗頤敦煌本,所據《老子》爲郭店《老子》簡及帛書《老子》本,校正補遺《老子想爾注》之不足,至於注文則不論。敦煌《老子道經想爾注》殘卷始自《老子》第三章終至第三十七章,共三十五章。《老子道經想爾注》既冒《老子》之名,故以《老子》校正之。今僅校正第十四章、第二十一章、第二十五章、第三十七章,足以明證《老子想爾注》非《老子》原文,是爲本校正之論文也。
Laozi Xiang'er Commentary is based on modifying work of the five thousand words version of Laozi. There are some mistakenly deleted, erroneous, mistakenly added situations, and words with different purport in Laozi Xiang'er Commentary. To correct the errors in Laozi Xiang'er Commentary, we have to complete "The Correction of Laozi Xiang'er Commentary". The version of Laozi Xiang'er Commentary we use is Dunhuang version of Laozi Xiang'er Commentary written by Rao Zongyi. The versions of Laozi we use are the Guodian Chu bamboo slips Laozi and silk manuscripts Laozi. We use the Guodian Chu bamboo slips Laozi and silk manuscripts Laozi to progress the correcton and supplementary work on Dunhuang version of Laozi Xiang'er Commentary except comments. There are thirty-five chapters in the Dunhuang version of Laozi Xiang'er Commentary recording from chapter 3 to chapter 37 of Laozi. We use Laozi to progress the correction work of Laozi Xiang'er Commentary which usurped the name of Laozi only including chapter 14, chapter 21, chapter 25 and chapter 37. In this research, we prove that Laozi Xiang'er Commentary is not the original text of Laozi.
