是「無辜」，抑「貞操」？--談雷辛（G.E. Lessing）悲劇「艾米莉亞」（Emilia Galotti）關鍵字的中譯

摘要:	雷辛悲劇〈艾米莉亞〉的德文關鍵字“Unschuld”一字，在輔仁德文研究所的中譯本中，為學生合譯成「無辜」。對照原文上下文及劇情，翻成「貞操」應更為合適，在這部悲劇作品的詮釋上，更能彰顯其時代的悲劇性：艾米莉亞之為父刺殺，是為保存其「貞操」名節，而不是白白地斷送了一條「無辜」的生命。 The German key word “Unschuld”, in G. E. Lessing's tragedy Emilia Galotti, was translated as “innocence”, in Chinese, by the Germany graduate school students of Fu-Jen University. According to the context and plot of the tragedy, I think, “virginity”,as a Chinese translation for “Unschuld”, is more appropriate than “innocence”. Furthermore, when the drama is interpreted, the tragicalness of the Lessing-era becomes conspicuous by this translation: For keeping “virginity”, Emilia ask her father to kill her. “Virginity”,in this translation, the tragedy becomes more accentuate and show what Lessing trying to express--fighting the authority positively, but not just as the Chinese translation--losing an “innocent” life.
