Abstract:	現代應用英文的商業寫作，應避免再使用過時的措辭，其要旨應以清晰易懂的文字，將我們的思想傳遞給接受者或讀者。最新的商業寫作風格，要求更簡明、正確與自然，避免使用模糊的字詞，而直接切題。為了寫作生動有力，選字務須正確，表達簡明而直接，避免使用冗長或罕見的字以示炫耀。因此，有力的寫作方式必將大量改變舊式的用法，尤其值此二十世紀末、跨世紀之時，一般書信均已改用電子產品，例如傳真、電子郵件等等。這些電子傳訊系統所需時間短暫且迅速，而其內容則更為簡明正確。本文將介紹若干使用最新術語及其特殊用法，並提供給有興趣的人士共同研究參考。 Modem business writing of applied English correspondence is requested to abstain absolutely from the implementation of obsolete expression. Its significance is to convey our thoughts to the recipients/readers in the language that is unmistakably clear and readily understood. The updated style of business writing requires to be more concise, accurate, and spontaneous. Try to avoid the ambiguous expression in writing, directly to the point of concern. To write effectively and vividly, the writer has to choose the right words and use them to express himself simply, concisely, and directly, avoiding the temptation to show off by using long or unfamiliar words. So, effective writing will have to alter a lot from the old style of writing in the near future, especially the transcentury period, due to the fact that from the end of the 20th century, most of the correspondence have changed their tracks to electronic devices, e.g., facsimile, e-amil, etc., which need less time of message transmission but simpler and more accurately contents. A comparative study will indicate us outstanding traits of transcentury expression. In this article, some of the new technical terms of updated expression will beS introduced along with some remarkable usage, worthy of being recommended to those who are interested in implementing the new style other than the old one.
