    Abstract: 威廉.吉洛克(William L. Gillock / 1917-1993)是美國作曲家及音樂教育家。因他的作品旋律非常優美,而獲得「音樂教育界的舒伯特」之美譽。本論文從分析吉洛克的創作背景及為兒童的鋼琴作品與教材中,研究他的教育理念、鋼琴作品之演奏詮釋概念,期能提升鋼琴學習者的興趣與演奏能力。
    William L. Gillock (1917-1993) was an American composer and a noted music educator. He was called "the Schubert of music education" in tribute of the beautiful melody in his compositions.
    This thesis analyses the background of Gillock's creation, the piano education concept, piano works interpretation of playing published by Gillock and the piano teaching materials for children.
    Forward to how to improve the interest of the learning piano and the analysis of piano works, and in order to improve the piano learning ability.
