本研究旨在探究適婚年齡男性因非預期懷孕而結婚的婚姻適應歷程及當中所面臨的挑戰，以敘事為研究方法，透過半結構式的訪談方式，深入訪談三位因非預期懷孕而結婚的適婚年齡男性，並敘寫成故事文本。從故事文本中，研究者整理出「婚前交往階段」、「發現懷孕到決定結婚階段」、「決定結婚到生育前階段」及「生育後至今階段」等四個階段進行分析。由於研究文本的限制，本研究的呈現局限於那些遇到非預期懷孕選擇結婚，且婚姻適應經驗較為良好的對象。本研究的結果如下：
一、適婚年齡男性因非預期懷孕而結婚的婚姻適應歷程：
（一） 不可置信已成孕，心存僥倖終成悔
（二） 自業自得難卸責，擔起家庭是己任
（三） 成家立業匆忙中，新婚甜蜜已無存
（四） 家族資源來庇蔭，一同守護新生命
（五） 夫妻怨懟漸積累，奈何現實無能解
（六） 雖有迷惘仍不悔，期盼夫妻共攜手
二、適婚年齡男性在發現婚前懷孕到結婚後要面對的挑戰：
（一）婚前生育抉擇的壓力
1.時間的壓力：得在有限的時間內做出決定
2.親密關係的壓力：生與不生，都有難以承擔的後果
3.社會觀感的壓力：擔心被視為不負責任的渣男
4.生命的壓力：害怕扼殺一條生命
5.家族的壓力：面對家人的不諒解
6.內心的壓力：被罪惡感和羞愧感吞噬
7.經濟的壓力：還沒存夠錢就得成家立業
（二）婚後婚姻適應的問題
1.沒有計畫的生育，迫使他們短時間內要適應生活型態的重構
2.婚前溝通的問題依然存在，沒有因為結婚而改善
3.原生家庭經驗的差異造成夫妻雙方新的衝突
4.在婚姻中所扮演的角色和期望有所落差
5.經濟情況不穩定，需要原生家庭更多的資源挹注
6.即便對當初的選擇感到迷惘，也難以向他人訴說
最後，綜合研究過程中的研究者反思，研究者對非預期懷孕適婚年齡男性及其重要他人、未來有興趣從事相關研究的研究者以及實務工作者，提出建議。
The study focuses on married male in marriageable age whose marriages are resulted from unexpected pregnancy and aims to explore their adaptation process and challenges they experienced during their marriages. This study selected three males as the research participates and conducted semi-structural interviews for each male’s life story.
In this study, each adaptation process has 4 stages: (1) pre-married romantic re-lationship stage, (2) deciding to marry for unexpected pregnancy stage, (3) pre-labor stage (4) birth delivery to present.
I. The six adaptation processes of married male in marriageable age whose mar-riage were due to unexpected pregnancy:
i. They could not believe the pregnancy happened and regret for relying on luck.
ii. They recognize their responsibility and decide to raise the family.
iii. The first flush of marriage has gone due to unexpected pregnancy, and they buried themselves in raising the family.
iv. They receive support from the clan to take care the new life.
v. Couples may not able to resolve increasing intimate conflict, pressure and grudge with each other.
vi. Couples keep in relationship although they might feel lost.
II. Married male’s challenges from recognizing the unexpected pregnancy to get-ting married:
i. The pressure of pregnancy decision before marriage
a. Time Pressure: Limited time to make decision
b. Intimate Relationship Pressure: Hard to take the responsibility for the pregnancy decision
c. Social Pressure: Concerned to be labeled as philanderer
d. Life Pressure: Afraid of killing a life
e. Family Pressure: Receiving disagreement from family
f. Mental pressure: Overwhelmed by guilty and shame
g. Financial pressure: Unaffordable to raise the new-build family
ii. The problems encountered in the adaptation process to the marriage
a. They are forced to reframe and rebuild their life-style for unexpected pregnancy.
b. The marriage will not ameliorate the communication problem.
c. They may face new conflict resulted from different family background.
d. Their role in marriage may be different from what they expected.
e. They may need financial support from their clans due to unstable financial status.
f. It may be hard to share their feeling to others when they feel lost.
Finally, this study aims to offer suggestions to marriage male in marriageable age whose marriage was due to unexpected pregnancy and their significant others based on the above findings, as well as provide further reference, directions and practical advices on related topics.
