繼執行「中期水戶學的形成與內涵─水戶學的連貫與重建」的三年期計畫(2016.8-2019.7)之後,未來三年將持續前往日本進行相關史料的調查工作,並以(1)「從《本朝通鑑》及《大日本史》編纂背景與內容探討德治主義之歷史演變」為題,探索為政者的儒教受容、德治主義之歷史演變過程,論述從武家政治到文治政治的轉換與動向,進而探討日本「水戶學」史觀的形成及其與日本近代化、明治維新的關聯性。(2)以「藤田幽谷的《大日本史》史觀與水戶藩修史事業的變遷」為題,探討藤田幽谷的《大日本史》史觀與水戶藩修史事業的變遷及藩政改革的相關問題。(3)以「小宮山楓軒的《垂統大記》史觀與水戶學發展的關連性」為題,闡明立原翠軒、小宮山楓軒師徒編纂《垂統大記》的史觀內涵,進而探討其思想主張與中、後期水戶學發展的關聯性。
As a continuation of the on-going three-year project “The Formation and Content of the ‘Middle Mitogaku’: The Coherence and Reconstruction of Mitogaku” (from August 2016 to July 2019), this new project proposes another three-year investigation on the historical data pertaining to the historiography and modernization of Mitogaku. (1) In the first year, the project will center on “The Rule of Virtue and Its Development in Honchô Tsugan and Dai Nihonshi.” It aims to explore the reception of Confucianism and the transformation of “the rule of virtue” in the minds of the political leaders, to characterizes the transition from military rule to civil authority, and to examine the formation of Mitogaku historiography and its connection with modernization and Meiji Restoration in early modern Japan. (2) In the second year, focusing on “The Historiography in Fujita Yūkoku’s Dai Nihonshi and the Transformation in the Enterprise of Revising History in the Mito Domain,” the project will investigate Fujita Yūkoku’s views on history in Dai Nihonshi and the changes in the project of revising history in connection with the Mito political reformation. (3) In the third year, the project will concentrate on “Connections between the Historiography of Komiyama Fuken’s Suidou Taiki and the Development of Mitogaku.” It will trace the ideas of history in Suidou Taiki, edited by Tachihara Suiken and his disciple Komiyama Fuken, and investigate how their views contribute to the development of “Middle Mitogaku” and “Late Mitogaku.”
