火山地區中性溫泉成因的研究成果對於幾個方面的發展會有所助益。在地熱發展方面,有助於尋找最佳地熱發電廠廠址之設置。而在工程及材料科學方面,有助於鑽井和管線材料之選擇。就目前為止,不論國外或者是國內前人研究成果,皆顯少發表火山地區之中性溫泉處包括有火山熔岩及火山碎屑岩之岩芯相關研究。本計畫將針對大屯火山群中性溫泉區之岩芯作為研究之題材。將以幾個階段來進行,首先,以岩象學分析岩芯中火山熔岩和火山碎屑岩之礦物組成及其組織,並觀察各種礦物相的轉變。再者,以X光繞射分析儀分析岩石中蝕變礦物相的種類。以能量分散式螢光光譜儀分析不同樣貌之火山熔岩與火山碎屑岩之元素變化。最後,以地球化學模擬軟體模擬不同情境下的氣-水-岩反應所形成的產物,以了解大屯火山群形成中性溫泉的條件。
To understand the causes of the neutral thermal water in volcanic area that can improve several aspects. In geothermal development, it can provide a better site of geothermal power plant. And in sciences of engineering and materials, it gives a better result that how to choose the materials of drilling and pipeline. However, less academic researchers are focused on the characteristics of core of lava and pyroclastic in neutral thermal water of volcanic area.This project will focus on the characteristics of core of neutral thermal water and gas-water-rock interaction in Tatun Volcano Group, and will have several stage. First, we will analyze the petrography of lava and pyroclastic of core. Second, analyze the alteration mineral assemblages, their percentages by X-ray diffraction. Third, measure the geochemistry components of core samples by ED-XRF. Finally, simulate the gas-water-rock interaction by The Geochemist’s Workbench software.
