本研究透過善用機緣論之觀點探討打工度者生涯中偶發力的培養與運用,瞭解青年參與打工度假之偶發力運用經驗,是否影響其後續生涯發展。以質性研究的敘事探究法,邀請三位(二性女性、一位男性)24-36歲,曾至少連續進行一年打工度假,並回國五年的青年。採半結構式深度訪談,並以「整體-內容」敘事分析方法進行資料整理,歸納核心主題與敘說經驗,得研究結果如下:
就受訪者的「打工度假者參與打工度假之經驗」主要可分為三階段,首先為出國前迷惘階段,在此階段青年主要因對於生涯迷惘、社會壓力與期待等原因,感受到現有環境的推力,而投入打工度假。接著在打工度假擴展階段,打工度假歷程中個體需克服缺乏資源的旅程,憑藉自己的能力與智慧面對未知的挑戰,個體在與環境激盪與碰撞,解構與重構個人生涯價值觀。在回國後的生涯階段,個體重新適應台灣文化與生活,打工度假歷程提升個體生涯信心,形成個人生涯目標,嘗試規劃與實踐個人理想之生涯發展,打工度假經驗對個體生涯發展帶來正向之影響。
以善用機緣論來看,在受訪者「偶發力之培養與運用對生涯發展之影響」可分為下列三方面:
一、運用偶發力因應非預期的困難能提升個體未來面對生涯挑戰的自信。
二、打工度假是個體生涯中重要的生涯變動經驗,環境與文化的衝擊培養打工度假者以良好的彈性與旅途中出現的人事物互動。
三、個體因個人生命經驗、成長背景與獨特的偶發力培養與運用經驗,發展具個人生命特色的偶發力。
透過上述結果,可瞭解三位受訪者青年參與打工度假之偶發力運用,也對其後續生涯發展產生正向的影響力。依據研究結果提供相關的建議,並未來能夠提供相關助人者與後續研究者參考。
The study useing Happenstance Learning Theory to explore the serendipity’s cultivation and application in working tourists’ career development.to expoded how young people career development influenced by their serendipity’s cultivation and application experience in working holiday ? By purposive sampling ,three aged 24-36 participants 90 (1 male , 2 female) who had at least 1 year working holiday experience , and came back to Taiwan over 5 years were invited to this study. The researcher conducted semi-structured in –depth interview with the three participants and adopts qualitative method, narrative inquiry method and “holistic-content”analysis method. The results are as follows.
The working tourists’ working holiday experience consisted of three stages :
Career-confused stage, Career-increase stage and Career-praxis stage.
In Career-confused stage , young people are mainly engaged in working holidays because of career confusion, social pressure and expectations. In Career-increase stage working tourists need to relying on their own abilities and wisdom to face the unknown challenges . People in this stage will deconstruct and reconstruct career values. In Career-praxis stage, working tourists forming personal career goals, trying to plan and practice the career development of personal ideals. working holiday experience has a positive impact on individual career development.
View from Happenstance Learning Theory, serendipity’s cultivation and application impacts career development about three orientations:
1. Using serendipity to overcome unexpected challenges may increase the working tourists’ self-confidence.
2. Career mobility and cross-cultural impact experience may increase the working tourists’ resilience.
3. People will develope their unique serendipity including their life experience.
Based on the result of this study, serendipity’s cultivation and application has positive impact on working tourists’ career development. The research expects to provide working tourist, social workers and future researches with indications and suggestions on related topics.
