雖然金代相關資料散佚嚴重，但仍可經由分析《金史‧列女傳》、金代墓誌碑銘等一窺金代婦女的社會生活面貌。此外，古時能參與前朝的政治決定或影響皇帝決策的女性，其身分多屬與皇帝關係密切或深受皇帝信任的皇太后、皇后或受寵的嬪妃居多。是以，得透過觀察貴族女性以了解金代貴族女性對國政的影響；另外金代外戚對朝政所發揮的影響力也因其族屬為女真或非女真而有所不同。而金代婦女的財產權與法律關係，特別是女性於婚姻關係存續中以及婚姻關係消滅時(如夫死、和離、被休棄)，女性財產權的處分等以及當女性遭遇不法的侵害時(如被殺、被毆傷等)相關法律應如何適用等問題。
Even though so many Jin Dynasty‘s archives are lost, we still can find information and materials to discover female social life in Jin Dynasty though analyzing 《Jin Dynasty--Biographies of heroic women》 and epitaph from Jin Dynasty. Besides, most of females who can be involve in the process of politics are closed to emperor, and most of them are emperor’s trustworthy women in palace, like empress dowager、queen or imperial concubine who can earn emperor’s favor. Because of that, we can understand the female’s influence to national politics. And clan of the consorts’ influence of Jin Dynasty depend on they are Jurchens or not. And Jin female’s property rights and legal relations, especially female marriage’s continuation, and when legal marriage is gone(like husband’s dead、divorce with deal or forcing divorced by man’s will)，how the female disposal their property and how to apply the relevant laws when women are violated illegally (such as being killed or beaten up, etc.)
