The purpose of this research is to comprehend the life course of child sex offenders and their perspective on these experience. The research areas of the paper cover: (1) The interviewees’ experience with their families; ( 2) The perspective of their criminal experience; (3) The interpersonal interaction behaviour of the interviewee and the target research objects throughout the interview. The target of this research is the inmates who convicted child sex abuse. First of all, the interviewer would conduct a 50-minute interview to evaluate the interviewee’s applicability. Once confirmed the applicability, a 10-12 hour interview session would be employed. After session, the research would enter the stage of utilising qualitative analysis to anatomise the interviewees’ life course, family experience, criminal experience and the interpersonal interaction experience. Via extensive comprehensive interpretation. The analysis and interpretation results are shown as follows:
I. Child sexual offenders experience in their family interpersonal interaction.
i. The love and hate resentment towards the absent mother and dysfunctional father.
ii. The influence of the insecure parent-child attachment on the convict’s relationship with others.
iii. The effect of dysfunctional family and the blurring of sexual boundaries, which leads to violence in their relationship with others.
II. The Child sexual offenders experience in their crimes.
i. The effect of the risk factors from their early child experience on their criminal experience.
ii. The pain and depression that Ming has experienced before convicting sexual abuse.
iii. The self-realisation of their wrongdoing when being arrested and convicted, It’s a real crime to go to jail.
III. Child sexual offenders behaviour with interviewer’s interpersonal interaction
i. The feeling of having opportunity to express for their life through accepting the interview and acknowledging the fact of their abusive act.
ii. The inconsistence in the stable relationship that they have built with the researcher: sometimes they behaved self-disclosures and sometimes they acted defensive.
iii. The adequacy of keeping a stable relationship, which will provide courage for the convict to face their life.
Finally, the paper discusses about the findings of above research, and gives suggestions to the future researchers and the related practical workers helping sexual offenders in order to provide a referential direction for studying the related issues.
