| 摘要: | 晚清，道光年間世亂澆漓，鴉片戰爭與太平天國起事席捲中國。蘇州詩人貝青喬(1810─1863)生時適逢清朝內憂外患之際，經父親鼓舞之下，投筆從戎、慷慨赴軍，於奕經(1791─1835)將軍麾下任職，其間曾領命入寧波城查探敵情，繼命監造火器，更曾帶領鄉勇在軍情緊急危難時，勇赴前線，衝鋒陷陣英勇殺敵，其後亦幫辦文案，入核銷局查造兵勇糧冊。一年多的軍旅生涯對於營帳中大小之事頗為熟悉，其間所見軍中怪事多有，咄咄離奇，於是一一如實記錄，甘冒頭顱落地之險，留有以詩記實之作《咄咄吟》傳世，望為後世用兵者告，是為清末「少陵詩史」。
青喬一生應試多次，屢無登龍門榜之緣，為求果腹橐筆依人形跡萬里。所到之處仍是以詩紀錄創作不輟，因而留有許多富有文采之詩文作品，包括《半行庵詩存稿》、《苗妓詩》、《爬疥漫錄》，其中不乏感時傷世之作，流露出詩人民胞物與之情、憂國憫民之思。不過也因其功名未顯，詩名有限，從晚清至今學者對於其詩文研究所作不多，相關評價亦是鮮少，臺灣學術界更無專書或單獨相關論文之研究，甚是可惜。
於是乎，研究者重啟對貝青喬詩文之蒐羅，現今傳世之詩約九百餘首。研究者今挑選詩作中具備「感時意識」之詩加以整理、分析、研究，作為本論文之主軸，更就其藝術手法與後世評價凸顯貝青喬詩作之特色與影響性。
