    Abstract: 阿瑞德.普勞(Arild Plau, 1920-2005),是挪威二十世紀相當有名的現代作曲家,他曾是鋼琴家,之後轉作曲和低音管演奏,並成為挪威歌劇管弦樂團的低音管樂手,也創建了奧斯陸木管五重奏,他的作品以弦樂四重奏和銅管五重奏的編制居多,最有名的便是這首給低音號和弦樂團的協奏曲。筆者將從這首曲子,來探討普勞的作品特色,和演奏此曲的相關詮釋。
    本論文一共有六個章節,第一章闡述本文的研究動機與目的及研究範圍與方法。第二章則是討論低音號的歷史、低音號這項樂器的發展,以及此樂器在樂團中的角色定位。第三章將介紹作曲家阿瑞德.普勞的生平和音樂風格,以及他為低音號所創作的協奏曲介紹,另外也會介紹委託創作的世界知名低音號演奏家歐因斯坦.巴塔斯維克(Øystein Baadsvik,1966- )的生平;接下來在第四章將進而深入研究普勞的《為低音號與弦樂團協奏曲》之樂曲分析,並在第五章研究此首曲子的音樂詮釋及對困難段落的技巧解決。最後,第六章對樂曲作簡潔的結語。
    Arild Plau(1920-2005) is a distinguished Norway composer in contemporary music. He began his career as pianist at first. Then he started composing and playing bassoon. He played bassoon in the Norwegan Opera and founded the Oslo Woodwind Quintet. His compositions are mostly for the woodwind or brass quintet, the famous one is the Concerto for Tuba and String Orchestra. The author is going to analyze this concerto and discuss the interpretation.

    This article is divided into six chapters to analyze Arild’s Concerto for Tuba and the String Orchestra: First of all, the author will state the prupose, intension, range and method of this thesis.

    Secondly, the weiter introduces the history of the tuba, the devolopement of tuba and its character in the orchestra. In chapter 3, the author will illustrate Arild Plau’s biography, musical style and his concerto for trombone. Also the writer will instroduce the renowned tubist, (Øystein Baadsvik,1966- ), who commissioned and premiered this piece. For chapter 4 and 5, the writer will analyze the Concerto and discuss the interpretation of the music, resolution of the technical challenge. In the end, the essay is cluded with the summary of this thesis.
