Abstract:	臺灣受到二戰後人力資本概念的影響，教育開始擴張，而女性就學人數也因經濟的成長而逐漸提高，本論文目的為探討高等教育性別隔離程度的變化趨勢與原因，特別考慮女性就學數量、學門領域的規模、以及教育體系結構等因素。本研究資料來源為1972年至2016年「中華民國教育統計」以及「大專校院概況統計」。研究結果顯示：(1) 高教擴張對於性別隔離程度並無顯著影響。(2) 女性所占比例的擴張確實有益於性別隔離程度的下降，但若是女性就學人數成長停滯，則性別隔離程度也會停滯。(3) 具強烈性別色彩之學門若是擴張，則對性別隔離程度亦會提高。
