    摘要: 劇烈天氣系統常為花東地區帶來超大的雨量,中央氣象局於花蓮及墾丁各設置一部氣象雷達監測臺灣東部之天氣,由於受限地形遮蔽影響此二雷達無法有效監測花蓮及臺東地區的天氣,因此在降雨估計上受到限制。然綠島雷達2016年升級為雙偏極化雷達,乃目前國內最新的雙偏極化氣象雷達,使用雙偏極化雷達資料可對花東地區做較準確降雨的估計。並可搭配聯隊車載雷射式剖風儀以及氣象局之花蓮及墾丁雷達做區域風場合成,藉此掌握低空風切與亂流,更可進一步調整東部地區雷射式剖風儀觀測方式,發揮剖風儀高時空真實風場資訊以掌握中小尺度天氣現象,提升區域天氣變化之掌握能力。
    Severe weather systems over Hua-Lain and Tai-Dong area usually cause heavy rainfall. The Central Weather Bureau setups two weather radar at Hua-Lain and King-Ting may monitor rainfall system over the ocean. However, due to terrain blockage, near the coast and over the land area becomes blink area for radar coverage which may limit the rainfall amount estimation. The Green Island dual-polarized C-band weather radar was upgraded in 2016. This is the newest dual-Pol radar in Taiwan which may be used to estimated rainfall more accurate over the east side counties. In addition, this radar may works with the newly wind profiler lidar and both Hua-Lain and King-Ting radar to produce 3-dimensional wind field over the east coast covers the northern part and southern part of Green Island. This product may help the forecaster to better handle small scale system over the wild open area. Also the wind lidar may detect the low level wind shear and turbulence which may advance the capability of weather forecast.
