The purpose of this study was to investigate the current situation of high school athletic class students' career choice in Taiwan. A questionnaire survey and sampling were conducted for data collection. A total of 875 questionnaires were distributed to students at 35 high schools and vocational schools in which athletic classes were set up. 731 valid questionnaires were selected for data analysis. The survey results revealed that athletic class students by and large considered that they had more than one job skills. Furthermore, athletic class students believed that attending athletic classes would be conducive for further education and as a result they were passionate about PE and sports. Importantly, they felt that their family in general supported their study. Nevertheless, they appeared to be less optimistic about future job market in the field of PE and sport.
