    Title: 水中稱重、生物電阻和皮脂厚測量法對體脂肪百分比之評估比較

    Abstract: 身體組成在健康、運動訓練、運動成績等方面都受到很大的重視。且最常使用二部模式(two-component model)理論來加以評估。而其中有關體脂肪百分比的測量方法,最常使用的有水中稱重(UWW)、皮脂厚測量以及生物電阻法(BIA)。而水中稱重法是經由屍體的解剖分析,導出其預測公式,故有“黄金標準”之美稱;但由於其過程複雜,又無法移出實驗室外廣為使用,因此發展出較輕巧、易於攜帶之皮脂夾;然而,有關其預测公式是否適合不同人種、年齡、性別?則有待進一步加以研究。至於,近年來極力被廣為使用的BIA,其操作更為簡易、安全且不具侵體性;然而,有關BIA的準確性方面:說法紛紜,因此有必要再加以探討。
    本研究的目的在比較水中稱重、兩種生物電阻和皮脂厚測量法所預測之%F。受試對象為10名男性,7名女性:平均年齡分別為35.1±6.6歲和31.3±8.1歲;平均身高170.9±5.9公分和156.1±6.1公分;平均體重67.2±9.7公斤和51.1±5.2公斤。
    結果顯示:BIAt所測出男女性之%F為20.1±3.8%和24.9±4.8%,BIAs則為23.2±4.0%、26.6±5.1%,這與UWW所测得之%F:14.8±7.9%和17.4±6.7%,達到有顯著差異,而皮脂厚測量法所得之數値:男13.5±4.3%、女14.4±4.7%,則未有顯著差異。本研究依所得到的結果,可得下列結論:一、皮脂厚測量與水中稱重結果相近,且適合25-48歲使用。二、兩種BIA顯著高估%F,也許不適合用於精密研究使用。
    Body composition is an important factor in both health and athletic performance. In assessment of body composition, the two-component model is applied and underwater weighing (UWW) is the method of choice. However, the popularity of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) and skinfold measurement (SM) raises the question of the validity of these methods in body composition assessment.
    The purpose of this study was to compare the validity of two BIA methods (BIAs and BIAt) and SM in body fat assessment using UWW as the criterion.
    Ten males(M), mean age 35.1±6.6yrs, height 170.6±5.9cm and weight 67.2±9.7kg; and seven females(F), mean age 31.3±8.1 yrs, height 156.1±6.1cm and weight 51.5±5.2kg, were studeid.
    The mean percent body fat(PBF)values from BIAt (M:20.1±3.8%; F:24.9±4.8%) and BIAs (M:23.2±4.0%; F:26.6±5.1%) were significantly heigher than from UWW (M:14.8±8.0%;F:17.4±6.7%). NO significant difference between UWW and skinfolds (M:13.5±4.3%; F:14.4±4.7%) was observed.
    It is concluded that skinfolds measure PBF similar to UWW, but BIA results in noticeably higher PBF than UWW. Thus, BIA may not be suitable for studies which require precision.
