The effect of 10 min walking warm-up on fractionated total reaction time was examined in 16 male collegiate students. The fractionated total reaction time, include reaction time (premotor time and motor time) and movement time, were measured in this study. All subjects participate two sets of reaction test, one had 10 min walking warm-up before reaction test, other had not. Results indicated that total reaction time (271.31±30.96msec), reaction time (141.28±21.36msec), premotor time(123.34±22.97msec)and movement time (137±25.87msec) with 10 min walking warm-up less than total reaction time (289.69±34.16msec),reaction time(151.63±17.19msec), premotor time(137.97±15.50msec)and movement time(137.59±25.87msec)with no warm-up. The results suggested that 10 min walking warm-up improve total reaction time、reaction time、premotor time and movement time significantly.
