本研究目的在探討與下背痛失能程度相關最密切的軀幹肌耐力測試項目，以供國人參照使用。受測對象為197名的男女自願參與者，平均無齡為34.7±8.3歲（範圍為25~60歲）。本研究的軀幹肌耐力測驗共有四種：一分鐘仰臥起坐、一分鐘俯臥舉體、靜態軀幹屈曲和靜態軀幹伸展；下背痛失能程度評估則是以國內學者葉洵惠(2000)以及陳淑媚(1998)修正自國外問卷發展出的「日常生活影響程度量表(The Modified Roland and Morris Disability Questionnaire)」為評估工具。所得資料以獨立樣本t檢定、皮爾遜積差相關、逐步多元迴歸等統計方法進行分析，結果顯示仰臥起坐與下背痛失能程度有顯著負相關，並且「下背痛失能程度＝3.48-0.04×（一分鐘仰臥起坐）」。從以上結果我們可以推論：仰臥起坐測驗成績差者，其下背痛失能程度就會越大。
The study wants to understand the most relationship between the endurance of trunk muscles and disability level due to low back pain (LBP), which was expected to be used as. An appropriate predictor or indicator can be found. Methods: One hundred ninety–eight volunteers adults are subjects of the study, average age is 34.7±8.3 years old (range from 25~60 years). One-minute modified sit-ups, one-minute upper trunk lift, and isometric abdominal curl up and Sorensen test were assessed. The Modified Roland and Morris Disability Questionnaire were applied to identify the LBP disability. The obtained data were analyzed by independent t-test, Pearson correlation and stepwise regression,, with SPSS 10.0. Results: Sit-ups are negative correlated with LBP disability, and ”LBP disability degree=3.48-0.04×(one-minute sit-ups)”. Conclusion: Degree of LBP disability was highly correlated with the poor of the sit-ups test.
